The Rose Tattoo with
Eileen Warburton, PhD

For five years we've gathered to talk about the humanities themes of the play just presented. What did the playwright intend to say? What did it mean to you personally? How does the play fit into the context of its time and how is the playwright's life story reflected in it? Do you like or despise these characters? Does a play written hundreds of years ago (or even just decades ago) speak to our own time and condition? The fun is always in what the participants bring to an open conversation where everyone shares perceptions and opinions with one another.

Humanities Discussion for The Rose Tattoo is scheduled for Sunday, May 12.
